The range of Diner Trays are born from knackered baking pans that are finding culinary reincarnation as retro inspired serving trays.

Slightly battered, rust-afflicted baking trays are dissected, rubbed back & glued down onto 5mm plywood, before being spray painted, then waxed with 3 coats of the highest quality finishing wax in order to provide many more years as a serving tray than they ever gave as baking trays.

The sides are my usual mix of sustainably sourced pine, routed to aid grip, then painted in a 1950's two-tone colour palette befitting the era. The frame is then rubbed back to achieve a worn, retro feel & then given three coats of satin varnish for years of loyal use.

-TECHNICAL-

BASE: Reclaimed baking tray laminated onto 9mm birch plywood providing a rigid base.

FRAME: Pine; 1950's inspired, two tone. Many colour combinations are available, should you require a specific colour let me know & I'll see what I can do

FINISH: 3 coats of Renaissance wax on the metal & 3 coats of varnish on frame

CARE: Not to be immersed in water, simply wipe any spillages with a cloth or sponge

SIZE: Each new tray varies depending on the size of each baking tray I reclaim, but as a rough guide A4 is a good approxiamtion. Full dimensions for each model are on the image gallery.
